MILLING notes Ocrim Hires Michele Greif as Its New Commercial Director Michele Greif has accepted a position with Ocrim SpA, Cremona, Italy, as commercial director. In this capacity, Greif will be coordinating Ocrim’s entire sales and marketing organizational structure. Born in 1970, Michele Greif is Greif graduated Ocrim SpA’s new with a master of commercial director. science degree in chemical engineering from Padua University in Italy. He went on to earn three masters—air and soil environmental cleanup, biochemical engineering, and business and administration—at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Greif has worked in various industries in both Los Angeles and Italy. Prior to accepting the position at Ocrim in late 2007, Greif was sales director at Moretto SpA, Massanzago, Italy, a manufacturer of plastics automation, where he managed the activities of its main branches worldwide. Salina Vortex Adds New Divisions to Service Global Markets The Salina Vortex Corporation, Salina, KS, has launched three new divisions: Vortex Valves North America, Vortex Valves Latin America, and Vortex Valves Asia. Marketing Manager Russ Barragree said, “Vortex’s strong working relationship with North American millers has translated into greater demand for Vortex products abroad.” Chantland-MHS Celebrates 65th Anniversary in 2008 Chantland-MHS is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1943 as an extension of the Chantland family seed and milling business, with the intent of designing and fabricating conveyor equipment. The Humboldt, IA-based company expanded into the manufacturing of packaging equipment in 1967. In 1993, the company added palletizing equipment and became one of the few U.S. companies to offer complete material handling systems—from the raw material to the warehouse.
