Milling Journal - Q2 2008 - (Page 19) Mideast-Africa, Eurasia Dates Set IAOM district conferences to be held in Tanzania and Romania The Eurasia District of the International Association of Operative Millers will hold its annual conference Oct. 19-21 in Bucharest, Romania. The Mideast and Africa District will hold its conference Nov. 14-17 in Arusha, Tanzania. 3rd Annual Eurasia District Conference Oct. 19-21 • Bucharest, Romania The Eurasia District Leadership Council selected Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania as Romania the site of its ★ Third Annual Conference and Expo to be held Oct. 19-21. Yvgeny Gan, president of the League of Kazakhstan Grain Processors and Bakers and director of the IAOM Eurasia district, said approximately 250 millers are expected to attend the conference. Gan said that the trade show will be attended by approximately 35 vendors. Sponsors for the event have yet to be announced. The conference will be followed by an FFI Eurasia Leaders Group meeting on Oct. 22. 19th Annual Mideast and Africa Conference and Expo Nov. 14-17 • Arusha, Tanzania The Mideast and Africa Conference and Expo wil be held in Arusha, Tanzania, Nov. 14-17. Arusha is a city in northern Ta n z a n i a surrounded ★ by Africa’s Arusha, Tanzania most famous landscapes and national parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha is close to Serengeti, Response No. 191 Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, and Mount Kilimanjaro.
