Ivo Klaric Vice President Ivo Klaric, operations manager at Seaboard-Ecuador, Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador, was unanimously elected 2008-09 vice president of IAOM. IAOM membership. Klaric has been an active member of IAOM since 1985. He served on the executive committee as treasurer in 2007-08. He was director of IAOM’s Latin America District from 2003 to 2007. He is also the newly-appointed president of the (IMEF), a philanthropic partner of IAOM that funds a variety of educational programs related to the grain milling industry. Milling career. Klaric has been in his position with Seaboard since 1993. Prior to joining Seaboard in Ecuador, Klaric was plant manager of Pro-Granos in Puerto Rico. Klaric started his milling career at Ferrari & Ghezzi in Bolivia, serving as the head miller of Molino Andino in La Paz from 1982 to 1987, and plant manager of Molino El Pagador in Oruro, Bolivia from 1987 to 1990. Klaric is also an active member of the Ecuadorian Industrial Millers Association, and is currently president of the board of directors at the Inter-American Academy in Guayaquil. He has served on the school board since 1995. He was president of the Association of Professional Millers in Bolivia from 1987 to 1990. Klaric also held the state champion racquetball title in Oruro and La Paz, Bolivia from 1988 to 1990. Bart Hahlweg Treasurer Bart Hahlweg, plant manager at ConAgra Foods Inc., Oakland, CA, was unanimously elected 2008-09 treasurer. Hahlweg will be responsible for overseeing preparations for the association’s 2009 conference in Grand Rapids, MI. He is also in line to serve as the association’s president in 2010-11. IAOM membership. Hahlweg has been an active member of IAOM since 1992. He was director of IAOM’s Golden West District from 2005 to 2008; and served as that district’s chairman from 2002 to 2004. He also served as the Southeastern District’s chairman in 1997-98. Milling career. Over the course of his career at ConAgra, Hahlweg has worked in six different facilities as operations analyst, scheduling supervisor, associate miller, elevator/packaging supervisor, and plant manager. His first plant manager appointment came in 1993 in Blackwell, OK, followed by three years managing the company’s Tampa, FL plant. He has been the Oakland facility’s plant manager since 1998.
