Milling Journal - Q3 2008 - (Page 54) Antares Roller Mill Buhler Inc. • Plymouth, MN • 763-847-9900 www.buhlergroup.com Buhler marks its 140th year of service to the flour milling industry with the introduction of its newest roller mill since the debut of its Newtronic roller mill in 1999. The new Antares roller mill is available as a single high four-roll or a double high eight-roll mill. "With the Antares, we have launched a roller mill that fulfills the requirements of the flour milling industry," says Martin Schlauri, head of the Buhler Milling business unit. "Our new roller mill is noted for its uncompromising sanitation, high operating reliability, ruggedness, and centralized data registration system," Schlauri says. All components in contact with the product, Schlauri says, are made of stainless steel with surfaces that do not have any additional coating and are colorless. To prevent contamination, no oil is used for lubrication. All power transmissions are oil free. Controlled Feed "The Antares roller mill has a wide inlet without any internal components ensuring constant, dependable product feed to the grinding rolls," says Schlauri. The roller mill's patented, gravimetric product registration system, says Schlauri, ensures controlled product feed to the grinding rolls.
