Inc. • South Windsor, CT • 800-274-3839 www.siftex.com Leaky fabric connectors can make any mill a mess, and the dust build-up can be a fire hazard. Siftex Equipment is now distributing the new hose-clamp-free BFM fitting system that is designed to put an end to connector sleeve leaks. "BFM is so innovative, sanitary and easy to use that it is patented," says Siftex President Steve Weil. "You can remove and replace the flexible sleeve in seconds, without tools or hose clamps," Weil says. The two-part system consists of a stainless or mild steel adapter, into which the flexible connector snaps in place. According to Weil, the adapters can be welded or clamped onto the machinery or spouting. The flexible connectors are available in ultra-durable clear polyurethane or breathable white polyester fabric. Easy Installation BFM fittings, says Weil, can be installed easily on the flanged, clamp-together spouting found throughout grain mills. "The result is a perfectly fitted flexible connector that does not leak dust, is more sanitary than clamp-on sleeves, and saves maintenance downtime," says Weil. They can be used on valves, rotary airlocks, screeners, sifters, packaging lines, and more. It simply rolls sideways.” Features • The Side Shifter’s wheels turn 90 degrees, for smoother opening of gate doors with moving captans. • Hydraulic operation assures smooth, quiet, reliable handling. • Power supply options: Electric (single phase 220v or three phase 440v), battery and pneumatic. Canadian voltage available. • Battery power sufficient to open 30 to 33 gates per charge, fully recharges in less than four hours. • Sliding 42-inch torque bar provides extra stability. • Variable, controllable speeds to control product flow. • Center return controls for safety. • United States made.
