Milling Journal - Q4 2008 - (Page 37) NAMA Elects Miller, Maass John Miller elected chairman; Paul Maass vice chairman. In late September, the North American Millers’ Association (NAMA) elected John C. Miller, president, Miller Milling Co., Bloomington, MN, chairman. Paul Maass, president, ConAgra Mills, Omaha, NE, was elected vice chairman. Both NAMA officers will serve two-year terms, through September 2010. Miller and Maass were elected at the Sept. 26 John Miller NAMA board meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, NV . Guy R. Shoemaker, chairman of the NAMA nominating committee, announced the voting results at the board meeting. Shoemaker also said that Greg Schlafer, director and general manager, Paul Maass Bakery Channels of Bakeries and Foodservice Division, General Mills, Inc. was elected for a three-year term on the executive committee to replace outgoing chairman Rick Schwein, Grain Millers, Inc., Eden Prairie, MN. Executive committee members other than Miller, Maass and Shoemaker include: • Breck Barton, Cereal Food Processors, Inc. • Mark Kolkhorst, ADM Milling Co. • Don Mennel, The Mennel Milling Co. • Lynn Rundle, 21st Century Grain Processing. • Stephen Wickes, Agricor, Inc. Honorary Membership W.J. (Will) Duensing, the former director of quality assurance and technical services for Bunge Milling, was elected an honorary member at the annual meeting. Duensing retired from Bunge in May 2007, after 28 years of service with the company.
