The conference will stay with the midweek format started last year in Orlando, potentially allowing attendees two weekends to enjoy sites and attractions in this west Michigan city. Incorporated in 1838, Grand Rapids has grown to Michigan’s second largest city, with a population of over 200,000. Tulip Time Festival Just following the IAOM Conference, the Tulip Time Festival begins a one-week run (May 2-9) in Holland, MI, 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids. It has been named Readers Digest’s “Best Small Town Festival.” Visitors from all over the world come to see millions of tulips planted in parks, gardens, and lanes throughout the community located near Lake Michigan.
