Milling Journal - Q4 2008 - (Page 64) Nationwide Fumigation Services Food Protection Alliance • La Place, LA • 877-372-3334 www.fpalliance.com Created in 2004, the Food Protection Alliance (FPA) is the collaboration of 17 regional fumigation and pest management companies aligned as a single nationwide source for fumigation services, integrated pest management (IPM), education, training, and supplies. Executive Director Stephen Roy says FPA's unique network of regional companies across the United States and Canada allows it to offer food protection services to a broad range of food manufacturers and grain handlers. "We are truly a one-stop shop," Roy said. "We are there for every phase, from post-harvest to process facility, and all the way to distribution hubs." Regional Network The regional network concept, Roy explains, allows FPA to leverage the geographical expertise of its 15 membercompanies to serve customer’s fumigation and pest management requirements. "We can offer regional attention," said Roy, "with national capability." According to Roy, FPA stresses safety, quality, and service. "Those are the three main things we are trusted for," he said.
