2016 FINALISTS EMERGING LEADERS: AstraZeneca, Bayer, Genentech & Gilead ■ By Tim Sosbe P reparing the next generation of leaders is one of training's main missions. As the quality of applicants in the Emerging Leader category in the 2nd Annual LTEN Excellence Awards shows, many life sciences companies have some strong talent waiting in the wings. For this year's awards, four emerging leaders were selected as finalists. "Joe is good at determining appropriate curriculum, delivering curriculum and mentoring others," said omas Hood, deputy director, field sales leadership development at Bayer, who nominated Penna for the award.
