This enables it to produce both graphically rich page layouts and flexible, device-dependent views from the same XML. Olive’s XML schema is designed to be used with filters and XSL templates to produce output in industry standards such as NITF, OAI, News, ADSML, or METS. Olive’s XML schema is designed to promote component extraction and tagging for search and direct access to components, as well as to promote long-term archiving and preservation.
