Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, a product
design and architecture unit with offices in
Milan, Munich and Shanghai, drew inspiration
from Long Island lifestyle to create Grand Hotel.
Part of the Allaperto outdoor collection, the
group includes a lounge chair, a dining armchair,
a sun bed and an adjustable sun lounger
(shown), which combines metal, white lacquered
wood and two-tone plastic straps.
The brand's self-titled outdoor collection is
the work of Australian product designer Tom
Fereday. Consisting of the Chee chair series, the
Jeanette chair, and the Eileen and Parisi tables,
the range is made in Italy from wire-bent steel
that's powdercoated in a choice of RAL colors.
Doshi Levien, a London-based
multidisciplinary design studio,
conceived the Cala collection
as an extension of a chair
it previously created for the
manufacturer. A lattice weave
forms oversized curves in the
range, which incorporates such
materials as aluminum, rope,
teak and mass-dyed acrylic and
includes a dining chair, low foot
stools and tables.
