Paul Smith teamed up with the
company's in-house studio to create
Dots. Referencing a silk necktie from
the British fashion designer's spring/
summer 2017 menswear collection,
the pattern fuses a miniature
houndstooth check with a bold polka
dot motif. The textile is woven from
52 percent cotton, 36 percent nylon
and 12 percent post-consumer
In-house creative director Dorothy
Cosonas referenced several of the
company's archives dating to 1947
to create the Signature collection.
Launched in celebration of the
manufacturer's 70th anniversary,
the trio of upholstery patterns-
comprised of Alter Ego (shown on
the chair's arms and base), Feeling
Plaid (shown on the seat and back
cushions) and Little Devil-is
protected by a soil- and stainrepellent finish.
8 FABRIC INNOVATIONS
Passport is a 118-in. wide, 100
percent polyester lightweight
drapery with a chambray-like
texture. Available in 16 colorways,
including Apple, Thunder, Sky and
Mint (shown top to bottom).
9 ROBERT ALLEN CONTRACT
The manufacturer's in-house studio
channeled intergalactic references
into Quest. Abstract motifs evoke

crystals, the surfaces of distant
planets and the tails of comets in
the 100 percent polyester collection.
