UV-LED ValueJet 1626UH is a hybrid printer that can accommodate a variety of rollfed and rigid substrates up to 0.5-in. thick. Featuring a choice of two UV-LED inksets - CMYK x 2 or CMYK + white + varnish - the 1626UH features a max. resolution of 1440 dpi and oﬀers a top speed of 109 sq ft/hr (at 720 dpi). Other features include: ValueJet Status Monitor app for remote printer monitoring; Intelligent Interweave (i²) print technique to aid in eliminating banding; front and rear ﬂatbed tables; Mutoh-edition FlexiPrint DX RIP software; optional takeup system; optional SpectroVue VM-10 spectrophotometer; and more. The company's new ValueJet 426UF is a UV LED machine aimed at the packaging-prototype market. It features a 13 x 19-in. bed, and can print directly onto a variety of ﬂat and 3D ValueJet 1626UH MUTOH AMERICA substrates up to 2.75-in. thick, utilizing an inkset comprising CMYK + white + varnish ink (CMYK x 2 is also available). Max. resolution is 1440 dpi; top speed is 89 sq ft/hr (720 dpi). In addition to featuring Mutoh's ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) app and Intelligent Interweave print technique the 426UF also features: a vacuum table; Mutoh-edition FlexiPrint 40 THE BIG PICTURE JUNE/JULY 2014 DX RIP software; and VJ Total Install CD with Windows print driver. Onyx 11 Textile Edition ONYX Onyx (onyxgfx.com) announced the ad- dition of a Textile Edition to its Onyx 11 software. Available as an edition for the company's Onyx RIPCenter, PosterShop, and ProductionHouse packages as well as a module for Onyx Thrive software, the software is designed to streamline job prep for textile applications. Features include: Onyx Step & Repeat, to create edge-to-edge fabric and wallcovering designs from one repeatable image; a Colorways tool, to create patterns in multiple colors from a single ﬁle; a Swatch Book tool for color matching; Ink Conﬁguration Builder, for custom ink conﬁgurations for various textile applications; ChromaBoost technology, for expanded color gamuts; and more. Onyx also announced an expansion of its product oﬀerings in the Professional Services market. The company will now oﬀer personalized, custom, on-site workﬂow and colormanagement consulting. Speciﬁc services include: * Color Management and Profiling: A professional consultant will be on-site for two days covering color- management essentials (calibration, the basics of ICC proﬁles) as well as the creation of custom ICC proﬁles for a shop's printer and media, how to use color devices, proﬁling diﬃcult media, and more. * Installation and Workflow Assessment: On-site assessment of existing systems and tools, plus recommendations for improvements in current workﬂows. Durst (durstus.com) debuted two new presses: the Rho 312R UV roll printer, and the Rho P10 250HS ﬂatbed. Rho 312R DURST The 3-meter (10.5-ft) Rho 312R is equipped with Durst's 12-pL Quadro Array printhead technology - complete with the company's Variodrop and grayscale technology. It can hit print speeds up to 2500 sq ft/hr (1300 sq ft/hr in Quality Production mode, and 750 sq ft/hr in Backlit mode) and oﬀers a top resolution of 900 dpi.
