New LED Models from

SwissQprint has revealed LED models of its Impala and
Nyala flatbed printers. The company reports the machines'
beam architecture has been re-engineered for improved
stability, while each bed's flatness has been refi ned. The
Nyala LED bed size spans 126 x 79 in.; the Impala measures 98 x 79 in. Print speeds are quoted up to 2217 sq ft/
hr for the Nyala and 1937 sq ft/hr on the Impala.
SwissQprint's UV inks will cure under the new LED lamps
as well as mercury lamps.
UV output power is automatically adjusted to the
material and printing speeds.
Users can elect to add a roll-to-roll option with a new
control element for more precise measuring results. The
company has also made its 4x4 option with four CMYK
heads available for the LED models.

GMG has released ColorServer 5.0, an update to its color management
platform. New features include centrally managed, hot folder-based automation; client-server architecture that allows multiple users to access the
platform from any computer in a network; the ability to integrate with most
third-party workflow applications; and a Paper Adaption Tool for visually
matching to printing conditions or standards. A SmartProfiler tool is optional.
New Media Handling Features
for Océ Arizona Flatbeds

Canon has made the High Flow Vacuum configuration available for its Océ
Arizona 6100 Series of high-volume flatbed printers. Applications for the series
include short-run corrugated packaging and temporary P-O-P graphics.
The new configuration enables users to load and print challenging media such
as highly porous corrugated fiberboard or warped plywood. The vacuum surface
spans 98 x 125 in., allowing operators to image two 48 x 98-in. boards at a time.

Mactac has released PermaColor Anti-Graffiti and
Window Protection Films. The line is available in
three configurations that are designed to prevent
graffiti, scratches, acid-etching gouges, UV light
damage, and tagging. SAG 36 is a 1.7-mil economy fi lm
for graphics on smooth surfaces; the 2-mil SAG 53
intermediate hard-coated fi lm is designed for glass
surfaces; and the heavy-duty 6.9-mil SAG 175 is
engineered for public transportation applications.
SAG 36 is available in 60-in. rolls, while SAG 53
comes in 54-in. rolls and SAG 175 is available in 48and 60-in. rolls.
New Banner Media from Magic

Magic has released TB2 banner media, an updated version of its TB9 product.
The TB2 media features Tyvek base material; water-, fade-, and scratch-resistant
coating; and a matte fi nish. The 11-mil textured banner material is engineered
for short-term outdoor applications. Available in widths up to 60 in.
