3 Textile Printers from MTex

MTex has launched three direct-to-textile printers. Each
modular system offers variable droplets ranging from 3 to 24
pL and a max. resolution of 1440 dpi.
The Dragon roll-to-roll printer [pictured] is designed for
producing signage, display graphics, and interior décor. It
spans 74.8 in. and features eight printheads for a 4- or 8-color
configuration. Images up to 1475 sq ft/hr in 4-color mode at
720 dpi.
The Scorpion presents the option of roll-to-roll printing or
an adhesive belt for stretched or knitted fabrics. Designed for
the high-end fashion market, the Scorpion prints acid/pigment
or reactive dyes at up to 5920 sq ft/hr on materials up to 74.8
in. wide. Offered with 16 or 32 heads with 4 or 8 colors.
The 126-in. Eagle also offers roll-to-roll imaging or an
adhesive belt. The machine prints disperse or pigment inks
up to 5845 sq ft/hr for applications such as display graphics
and home textiles.

PrinterEvolution's new D5300 DS sublimation printer measures 209 in. and
features an inline calender for one-step imaging. Users can print multiple
rolls simultaneously, and an integrated sewing system automatically
attaches new rolls.
The D5300 DS is configurable with four or eight Kyocera printheads,
engineered for variable droplet printing as small as 4 pL, and designed to print
without light colors for up to 50% reduction in ink usage. Features include a
5-L bulk ink system, and print speeds reach as high as 3440 sq ft/hr.
The machine's heating drum offers electronic setting abilities designed
for consistent fi xation. An inline cutting system uses six adjustable blades to
cut media vertically after sublimation.

Heat Transfer Media

Roland DGA has launched the HeatSoft Satin inkjet
printable media for heat transfer applications such as
apparel. The glossy polyurethane material is designed for
weeding and transfer without using a squeegee. The media
is engineered for transfers to cotton, polyester, and polyblend materials and is CPSIA-certified for use on children's
products. The company reports the media is durable up
to 25 wash cycles. Available in widths up to 54 in.
New Flexible Substrate from 3M
3M | 3m.com
3M's Panagraphics III Wide Width Flexible Substrate III is now available in widths
up to 197 in. The flexible, white vinyl substrate has a polyester scrim and smooth
front surface with a semi-gloss finish. Applications include indoor and outdoor
backlit signage; 3M reports the material is durable up to nine years outdoors.
