Luxe Pack New York celebrates its 10-year anniversary with more to inspire a creative’s muse.

N

ine targeted seminars, approximately 140 exhibitors and an opportunity to network with top creatives in the luxury packaging industry await visitors to Luxe Pack New York. The packaging trade exhibition returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion and Altman Building from May 16 to 17. Coming off a record-breaking 2011 show with 2,370 attendees, Luxe Pack New York 2012 aims to attract even more brand owners and designers with a more robust exhibitor line-up. Exhibitors will demonstrate and discuss innovative solutions for luxury product packaging at the show, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. More than a dozen exhibitors will be participating in Luxe Pack New York for the very first time, and the show will include three special features: the Luxe Pack

Innovation Forum, the Material ConneXion Lab and the Pratt Institute Student Exhibit showcase. The Luxe Pack Innovation Forum will display the newest creations and innovations from exhibitors, including sustainable products. The Material ConneXion Lab will display the latest material developments alongside a selection of success stories and packaging examples that aim to spark new ideas for luxury product packaging. The Pratt Institute Student Exhibit showcase will display designs by the four recipients of the Marc Rosen Scholarship and Education Fund for Packaging by Design. The seminars Luxe Pack New York will offer are designed to help industry leaders stay ahead of consumer purchasing trends and informed about the

10:30 a.m. Processes and Tools for Packaging Research and Development Leaders newLogic founder and president Marc drucker discusses the state of the innovation management marketplace, what tools are available and what you can and cannot do with them. 11:15 a.m. Spring/Summer 2013 Megatrends for Packaging stylesight’s senior vice president of trend sharon Graubard presents four overarching themes for the season and how they will directly impact color, shape, texture, material and delivery systems for luxury packaging. 12:30 p.m. Unleashing the Green Fairy: Journey Into the Provocative World Of Absinthe and See the Luxurious Packaging Concepts That Evolved Product Ventures CeO Peter Clarke decodes the historical meaning of absinthe’s green fairy and translates its rich narrative into compelling packaging concepts. 2:00 p.m. Product, Packaging, Promotion and Passion—the “Four Ps” a panel discussion led by Marc Rosen associates president Marc Rosen about the four keys to brand success—product, packaging, promotion and passion.
