3A Composite’s (Statesville, NC) FiberMate™ 3.2mm-thick, recyclable, wood-fiber panels are front- and back-side coated with 3A’s white, water-based Eco-Finish™ that’s California Air Resource Board (CARB) compliant and designed to provide excellent ink and paint adhesion. Mitsubishi‘s Alpolic Panel
Mitsubishi Plastic’s Alpolic® Materials Div. (Chesapeake, VA) produces Alpolic/fr LT rigid panels suited for such outdoor applications as signs, soffits, awnings and parapets. It comprises 0.3-mm-thick aluminum skins and a fire-retardant core. The sides are finished with a polyester coating of clean, metallic or such selectable patterns as stone, timber, metal and abstract finishes. The LEED Green Building Council USA-certified material is also suitable for interior walls, columns, ceilings and partitions in shops, offices and factories. Kommerlings’ KömaAlu Composite Material
Kommerling USA (Huntsville, AL) provides KömaAlu, a clad-aluminum composite material for signage, tradeshow booth and POP displays, that comprises two aluminumbased, baked-enamel, polyestercoated sheets that sandwich a polyethylene core. KömaAlu’s .025mm skin allows bending, cutting, shaping and drilling with normal shop tools. Available colors are white/white; gloss white/matte white; and white/black.
