Kleiner Park Trust
Touted by the Boise Weekly as Meridian, ID’s “newest and largest green space”, Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park,
built at a cost of $25 million according to the Idaho Statesman, offers 60 acres and 3.3 miles of walking and bike
paths. Gene Kleiner built the park to honor his father, a Russian immigrant who settled in Idaho and became a
prominent dairy farmer and civic leader.
Such expansive parkland requires an equally extensive sign program. Trademark Sign’s program divides the
park into four regions; each contains its own color palette and iconography. The wayfinding towers comprise steel
protected with Cardinal powdercoating, and signs fabricated from porcelain enamel. The metal was formed on a
MultiCam 3000 CNC router and metal brakes, benders and welding equipment. The archway sign’s letters were
built from brushed, cast aluminum and pin-mounted to the steel structure. Matthews acrylic-polyurethane paint
protects the sign from harsh Idaho winters.
