SIGN MUSEUM NEWS Tod Swormstedt is the president/founder of the American Sign Museum (Cincinnati). By Tod Swormstedt Online Auction Raises $20,000 It greatly assists the museum’s growing operating budget. T heannual online auction returned American Sign Museum’s third to the format of its first event by closing bidding on the final day of the Intl. Sign Assn. Sign Expo, held April 3-6 in Las Vegas. This allowed show attendees to bid onsite at the museum’s booth in the ISA exhibit hall. The museum was unable to exhibit at last year’s ISA show in Orlando because of construction at its new home. This year’s auction grossed more than $20,000 for the museum’s operating budget, thanks to 43 donations of goods and services from 26 different product manufacturers, distributors, publishers and associations. Several “firsts” registered for this auction, including two different offers of dental-care services and art classes targeted to local Cincinnati families.
