As more high-end retailers are opening groundlevel Times Square flagships, LED signs are being installed closer to street level. Many are being configured as SMDs with a tighter pitch (8-10 mm) and offering sharper, high definition visuals that have much closer and wider viewing angles. PHOTOS BY SENSORY INTERACTIVE 4 Pitching high resolution: Seen from 7th Avenue, this signage package totals over 5,700 sq. ft., including three media platforms: an LED-based rooftop tower, a digital three-sided cornerwrap sign, and a horizontal LED message center cornerwrap that serves as a tenant identification sign. All digital signage utilizes SMD diodes at 10mm resolution. Sensory Interactive, Sansi and Landmark contributed to the project. 44 SIGNS OF THE TIMES JUNE 2017
