The business Development Center contacts the current or lapsed customers of its business clients and gives them a good, personal experience. if it’s a car dealership, the customer might be invited for a test drive or to come in for servicing. An insurance customer might be called about their satisfaction before a policy is set to expire. “we do all the legwork, all the PR work, so when that customer is ready to buy a car or renew a policy, they come to our client,” merritt said. “it’s very exciting to help someone grow their business and retain loyal customers.” so excited is she about her own business that when she leased her space less than a year ago, she put 70 desks and chairs in place, even though she only had one employee. “i plan to employ 70 people by the end of 2010,” she said. “it’s very important for me to visualize my goals, so i have space for 70 people.” And there is no doubt, with demand for her services on the rise, a growing and happy clientele and her business expertise, that merritt will fill those seats.
