T
he best cinematography of 2011 was honored at the 26th annual ASC Awards for O utstanding Achievement in Cinematograph y, held on Feb. 12 at the Holl ywood & Highland Grand Ballr oom in L os Angeles. Afterwards, many attendees made the shor t trip around the corner to the ASC Clubhouse , where a pac ked afterparty continued the festivities for several more hours. Earlier that weekend, the Clubhouse also served as the setting for the ASC ’s annual Open House , the N ominees Dinner and a Friends of the ASC breakfast. Special ASC Awards handed out dur ing the e vening included the Presidents Award, presented to Francis Kenny, ASC; the Bud Stone Award of Distinction, presented to ASC associate member F red Godfrey; the Board of Governors Award, presented to actor Harr ison Ford; the Career Achievement in Television Award, presented to William Wages, ASC; and the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Dante Spinotti, ASC, AIC.
