The distribution system runs through existing streets and new easements. he WateReuse Association, a national organization that champions water recycling, has recognized the Redwood City Recycled Water Project with the Large Project of the Year Award for 2007. The national award “recognizes projects whose significance and contributions to the community continue to advance the water reuse industry.” Kennedy/Jenks Consultants served as the prime consultant for the $80 million recycled water project and was involved in planning, design and construction support for the treatment, disinfection, storage, pumping and distribution facilities, and in retrofitting the customer sites to convert systems from potable to recycled water. The Redwood City Recycled Water Project evolved over seven years and the Phase I System went on-line in late June. lark Dietz, Inc., a transportation, civil, environmental, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering firm, has acquired Farrar, Garvey & Associates, LLC, a consulting engineering firm specializing in planning, design and construction management for streets, highways and bridges. “We have been looking to grow our transportation services in Indiana by uniting with a firm that is similar in culture and values. It is important the firm has a solid reputation in providing quality engineering services. Farrar, Garvey & Associates is an excellent match,” said Ken Nelson, president of Clark Dietz. “The acquisition of Farrar, Garvey adds expanded depth and services to Clark Dietz’s long-established Transportation Group. This will allow us to offer more comprehensive services to our clients, especially in Indiana.” John Farrar, president of Farrar, Garvey & Associates, will remain active with Clark Dietz as vice president and manager of transportation services in Indiana. Mike Farrar will be a Clark Dietz vice president focusing on business development and client relationships. John Farrar has been appointed to the board of directors of Clark Dietz. Both John and Mike Farrar, along with Jim Loew and Kevin Loiselle, also of Farrar, Garvey, will be shareholders in Clark Dietz.
