Your aCuHo-i ACUHO-I Staff Developments The ACUHO-I Central Office has made several changes this year to staff, allowing the Central Office team to better provide members with the best in educational programs and resources to support members in their goal to provide the best possible housing experience for students. Here to assist you in your efforts: Josh Goldman As the senior director, Josh Goldman is charged with the creation, management, and oversight of several programs and events that extend the body of knowledge and services for ACUHO-I members. He directs the association’s educational, membership, and volunteer services, event planning functions, and corporate relation activities. As the liaison to the Credentialing Taskforce, he is responsible for the creation of a certificate program for the college and university housing profession. Goldman brings over 10 years of experience in the education, training, and management functions of non-profits, and he previously served Phi Gamma Delta fraternity headquarters as Director of Education. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana State University in Terre Haute and a master’s degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Karen Feasel Karen Feasel is also new to the Central Office this year where she serves as a liaison between the ACUHO-I Central Office and the executive and foundation boards. Along with her duties assisting the executive director, she is responsible for all Central Office human resources. Feasel has over 15 years of experience in administrative positions with The Ohio State University Medical Center and the College of Medicine, as well as a background in customer service. Josh Goldman Olivea Oldham Olivea Oldham serves as the new public relations coordinator and works directly with the director of communications. She is responsible for assisting with all aspects in the communications department, including weekly announcements and member updates, program guides for all ACUHO-I events, marketing displays, and updates to the ACUHO-I Web site. Her previous experience is in marketing and communications for the WOUB Center for Public Media and the College of Health and Human Services at Ohio University in Athens. She also has a background in photography and marketing and promotions for small businesses. Oldham earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and a master’s degree in public administration from Ohio University. Alison Jones ACUHO-I Executive Director Appointed to CHEMA Committee Sallie Traxler has been appointed to the Steering Committee for the Council of Higher Education Management Associations (CHEMA). This association is a voluntary group of management-oriented, higher education associations in the United States and Canada that come together to network and to maximize informational resources. Traxler will serve a two-year term. Alison Jones Alison Jones came to ACUHO-I 10 months ago, taking on the responsibilities of education and corporate relations manager. She works with all aspects of the development needs for ACUHO-I, creating and maintaining relationships with corporate partnerships and obtaining exhibit vendors and sponsorships. Billy Earnhart The newest face to the ACUHO-I Central Office is Billy Earnhart. As the education and corporate relations coordinator for ACUHO-I, he works directly with advertisers, conference exhibitors, and sponsors. His goals include cultivating ACUHO-I’s professional relationship with potential vendors and advertisers and maintaining positive working relationships with current clients. He comes to ACUHO-I with experience in the banking industry and a great deal of customer service history. He graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Arts in fine art. He is also an active member of the Ohio Splash swimming club. Jones’ previous experience is with student affairs. Prior to ACUHO-I, she worked at Jacksonville University in Florida and Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She also has a wealth of experience working directly with non-profit organizations such as the American Heart Association and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in family studies and a master’s degree in higher education college student personnel from Ohio University in Athens. 1 Talking STick
