With grants up to $2,000 each, Second Nature will provide lucky recipients with training in green building and access to resources on working sustainably on campus. Through Webinars, workshops, and online courses, building professionals will learn about the beneﬁts of green building and retroﬁts, have access to case studies of campus green building projects, receive an introduction to third-party certiﬁcation, and get exposure to innovations in the ﬁeld. Grants were awarded based on the institution’s level of need, statement of interest, and their capacity for campus sustainability. According to a press release, buildings contribute 40 percent of greenhouse gas emissions. Second Nature intends to share information with builders that will show them that building green can result in 1020 percent long-term annual energy savings. The recipients of Second Nature’s Green Building 101 Technical Assistance Grants are as follows: Blackfeet Community College, Curtis D.
