A living-learning community, 225 Liberty
Residence Hall, at Bloomfield College in
New Jersey was renovated in 2009. This
suite-style community accommodates 91
upper-division students within single, double,
and triple bedrooms. Most of the suites are
equipped with a kitchenette and dining area.
All suite bedrooms include air conditioning,
an extra long twin-size bed, dresser, desk,
chair, and plenty of closet space. High fiberoptic cable and Internet access is provided
to all residents. Additionally, a fitness area
is located on the first floor of the building,
and there are laundry rooms on each floor.
On the lower level of the building is a large
community lounge and kitchenette which is
utilized as programming space. This residence
hall is the central location for the campus
security office.

The Association of College and University Housing
Officers-International is a nonprofit organization that
provides professional development experiences for its
members by sponsoring programs, services, publications,
and research. Association members on college and
university campuses worldwide participate in conferences,
workshops, committees, and networks. These activities
provide a means of exchanging and distributing
professional information related to the various aspects of
student residence facilities and their related operations.
