New Online Courses
ACUHO-I recently added two new online
courses to our educational portfolio.
The Social Media and Student
Engagement course provides a thorough
review of social media trends on college
and university campuses, the various
social media platforms most used by
college students, and steps to design a
social media strategy.

TPE Onsite 2016
The Placement Exchange (TPE) is a premier job placement
resource for student affairs professionals. ACUHO-I partners
with several other national student affairs organizations to
sponsor TPE's year-round online career resources, in addition to
its popular annual in-person placement event, TPE Onsite.

The International Student Support
course looks at the needs of international
students and best practices for providing
services to them. The course will also
give learners the tools to create an action
plan to develop programs, services, and
training to better serve students coming
from areas outside the United States.

TPE Onsite brings the top candidates and employers from
the profession together under one roof. This annual gathering is
the top job placement event in student affairs. The event hosts
an average of nearly 10,000 onsite interviews each year and is
designed to create a personalized, comfortable experience for
both candidates and employers.
TPE Onsite 2016 will take place March 9-13 in Indianapolis,
Indiana. Registration is now open for both candidates and
employers on the TPE website (www.theplacementexchange.org).

NHTI Moves to Two-Campus Model
The James C. Grimm National Housing
Training Institute (NHTI) is one of ACUHOI's most celebrated educational programs.
NHTI provides a thorough professional
development experience for less experienced
professionals looking to further their careers
in housing. Participants meet and interact
with other colleagues, establish mentor
relationships with experts in the field,
develop professional development plans,
and gain skills and competencies needed to
meet the current and future demands of the
profession.
NHTI was developed in 1991 and,
for the last 25 years, has provided rising
stars in the campus housing field with

an opportunity for transformational
personal and professional development.
In 2014, the ACUHO-I Executive Board
acknowledged a need to expand the reach of
NHTI. A committee was formed to lay the
groundwork for this expansion. As a result
of that work, next year, two concurrent
sessions of NHTI will be held: one at
Michigan State University and another at
the University of South Florida, offering
more than 50 professionals the opportunity
to be a part of the NHTI Class of 2016.
