Annual Session and World Marketplace Exhibition 2008 Preliminary Program

CONTINUING EDUCATION VERIFICATION The American Dental Association is an ADA CERP provider of continuing dental education. The ADA Annual Session offers a maximum of 8 hours of ADA CERP continuing education credits in one day. Please note: the number of CE credits are listed for each course. Unless otherwise noted, one clock hour equals one credit hour. Continuing education courses may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each attendee to verify the requirements of his/her licensing board. Please check with your state board if you have questions. LOCATION AND HOURS A majority of the Scientific Program courses will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, with select courses to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The building location and room number will be printed on all course tickets. All four days of the Scientific Program are packed full of valuable education opportunities scheduled to give you time between courses to have lunch and shop in the exhibit hall! TICKETING ALL courses are ticketed. Plan ahead! Registrants must have a ticket for each course: fee courses, no-fee courses, Education in the Round courses and workshops. To minimize disruption to participants, admission to courses will be restricted to the first thirty minutes of the course. Individuals who arrive more than thirty minutes after the published start time will be asked to wait until a break to enter the rooms. P L A N YO U R E D U C AT I O N NO-FEE COURSES • No-fee courses are available to all registered attendees, including spouses and guests. • No-fee tickets may be obtained through pre-registration or you may reserve a ticket on-site up to the day before the scheduled course (based on availability). • If you reserve a ticket for a no-fee course, seating is only guaranteed up to the published start time of the course. After that time, admittance will be on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of advance registration, until the room is full. CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION EDUCATION IN THE ROUND • Education in the Round is an interactive, multi-media learning experience that augments the need for hands-on workshops. It delivers seven courses in a high-tech, demonstrative setting that exposes dental professionals to in-person, cutting-edge research and techniques, allowing for state-of-the-art, real-time interaction with the instructors during a live patient demonstration. • Early registration and ticket purchase are highly recommended as seats are limited. • If you purchase a ticket for an Education in the Round course, your seat is reserved for the duration of the course. PARTICIPATION WORKSHOPS • Participation workshops have an interactive, hands-on format. • The ticket price includes lab supplies unless otherwise noted. • Early registration and ticket purchase are highly recommended as seats are limited and workshops sell out quickly. • If you purchase a ticket for a workshop, your seat is reserved for the duration of the course. FEE COURSES • Fee courses are available to dentists, dental students, dental hygienists, lab technicians, dental assistants and business assistants only. • Fee tickets may be obtained through preregistration or you may reserve a ticket on-site up to the scheduled start time of a course (based on availability). Early registration and ticket purchase are recommended, as seats are limited. • If you purchase a ticket for a fee course, your seat is reserved for the duration of the course. REQUIREMENTS • All participants must bring a lab coat and protective eyewear. • Attendees who do not bring the proper supplies do not qualify for a refund.
