No other diabetes medical conference offers you the

just a few ways to connect while at the meeting:
• Professional Section Interest Groups
ADA members will be able to pick-up ribbons that
indicate their membership in one of the 11 Professional
Section Interest Groups. With just a glance, you will
be able to identify colleagues and discuss the latest in
diabetes research and care with those who share your
interest.
• networking Lounges
Networking lounges will be located throughout the
Convention Center and will feature special seating
areas for each of our eight distinct theme areas to
help promote lively conversation and discussion.

Join us Saturday evening from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for
a Networking Reception. Exchange ideas in a relaxing
environment while enjoying the company of your
colleagues. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be
provided.

Opening Reception—The Chicago Field Museum
Join us Friday evening from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at
Chicago’s most exciting and unique setting, the Chicago
Field Museum. Discover artifacts from civilizations past,
explore almost every corner of the globe, learn about
new scientific discoveries, and walk away inspired after
experiencing Stanley Field Hall.

Enjoy refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres made with
recipes from three of the Association’s award winning
cookbooks. Join your colleagues for a memorable
beginning to the Scientific Sessions.
Show Your True Colors by Wearing Red
Wear red on Sunday, June 23 to show your support
of the Association’s Stop Diabetes® movement. Stop
Diabetes aims to end the devastating toll that diabetes
takes on the lives of millions of individuals across the
nation. The goal is to inspire and mobilize the general
public, volunteers, donors, corporations, and the
scientific and medical communities to rally around the
cause and our call to “Share, Act, Learn and Give.” visit
the ADA booth in the Exhibit Hall to see how you can
“Join the Millions®” to help Stop Diabetes.

5K@ADA Fun Run/Walk
The 5K@ADA Fun Run/Walk, supported by Novo
Nordisk, Inc., will be held on Monday, June 24 at
6:30 a.m. Race in style by sporting a 5K@ADA running
shirt available for $20 when you register for the
meeting. A limited number of shirts will be available for
purchase onsite for $25. Proceeds will support the ADA
Research Foundation. Sign up for the Fun Run/Walk by
visiting the General Information tab at scientificsessions.
