Diabetes experts will facilitate informal discussions on clinical and basic science topics. Oral and Poster Sessions Each year, the best new basic and clinical science related to diabetes and its complications is presented at the Scientific Sessions in over 300 oral and 2,000 poster presentations. Poster presenters will be available to discuss their research for two hours on an assigned day. Guided Audio Poster Tours Explore the Poster Hall with Guided Audio Poster Tours. Moderators will lead attendees on 50-minute tours, sharing their perspectives and highlighting novel or recent developments in question and answer sessions with poster presenters. Interactive Online Posters Each poster in the Poster Hall will have a corresponding QR code on its board. Scanning the barcode with a smartphone or camera-equipped tablet will allow you to access poster content as well as communicate with poster presenters via the ePoster discussion forum, allowing for additional learning opportunities. Opening Reception Join us Friday, June 13, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the Opening Reception. While details on the location are still being finalized, we are excited to let you know that it's a stunning venue unique to San Francisco. Enjoy refreshments and heavy hors d'oeuvres made with recipes from three of the Association's award-winning cookbooks. Tickets are limited and can be purchased when registering at a cost of $25 per attendee and $45 per guest. You don't want to miss out on this memorable beginning to the Scientific Sessions. NETWoRKINg oPPoRTUNITIEs No other meeting like the Scientific Sessions offers the opportunity to meet and network with your colleagues from across the country and around the world. Be sure to pick-up a ribbon indicating your interest in one of the 11 Professional Section Interest Groups. You can then identify those who share the same interest and strike up a conversation. * Networking Lounges Networking lounges will be located throughout the Moscone Center and will feature special areas for each of our eight distinct theme areas. Each area will feature a variety of seating to help promote lively conversation and discussion. * Networking Reception Exchange ideas or informally share best practices in a relaxing atmosphere while enjoying the company of your colleagues.
