It is recommended for practice managers, office managers, medical professionals and others who are relatively new to managing a practice, or who have not taken a formal course in the business aspects of running a medical practice. For more thorough, higher level professional instruction, you can register for Practice Management Intensive Training instead of, or following, Boot Camp. Find out more about the 5-day Intensive Training program on page 10. The final seminar program in the track is the Executive Academy for Practice Administrators. Who Should Attend? Practice suggestions, content is subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule seminars or close registration due to inclement weather or when seminars have reached attendance capacity, etc. In the event of a date change or cancellation of any presentation, our association will not be responsible for incurred travel costs of attendees. Casual business attire is suggested. However, please bring a jacket or sweater, as meeting rooms are often cool. For resort areas, casual attire is acceptable. This training program is taught in a structured environment, offering verified continuing education. Attendees are invited to sign in each morning and afternoon, and at their option may also complete a signed attendance log (Continuing Education Verification Form). Attendance at all sessions (and documentation) is optional and attendees may elect to miss certain sessions. However, to receive the Certificate of Completion, you must attend the entire 2-day program and submit documentation. Advance Registration is required; see the registration options on page 15. Seating is limited; the earlier you sign up, the better your chance of reserving a place. A discount is offered for those who register at least 30 days before the program date. If you register within 30 days of that date, please call our office to ensure seat availability. Also, should you not have written confirmation prior to the program, please contact our office. Continuing Education Units: Full 2-day attendance at Practice Management Booth Camp offers up to 14 CME, 16 CPE and 14 CEU credits. You will also earn hours toward the professional credentialing programs of The American Academy. CME: Up To 14 Hours This program has been reviewed and is acceptable for Prescribed credit hours by The American Academy of Medical Management (AAMM). AAMM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing education for physicians. AAMM Prescribed Credit is accepted by the AMA as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 for the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed hours earned must be reported as Prescribed hours, not as Category 1. CPE: Up To 16 Credits The American Academy of Medical Management is registered with the National Association of State Board Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State Boards of accountancy have final authority on the Acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
