Part-time current and previous travelers received $42,666 annually, with nurses earning $40,833, on average. When compared to the combined national average for permanent staff, incomes for full-time current and previous mobile practitioners are encouraging. With a combined mean annual salary of $69,405, travelers were more than 22% ahead of the latest BLS number and 8% above results from our 2006 survey. Additionally, nearly half of these respondents reported incomes between $65,000 and $99,999. Nurses (who made up 90% of respondents) earned $69,835 annually. Among nursing and allied health participants who have accepted assignments in the past, the majority did so on a full-time basis, pulling down $68,106 annually, on average. Nurses in this group took home $68,199. Overall, previous part-time travelers reported almost half of that amount ($33,809). Most notably, one in 10 former full-time travelers topped the $100,000 mark, and 5% of previous part-time mobile clinicians recorded in excess of $75,000.
