Part-timers experienced a broad pay range, from a low of $5,000 to a high of $64,999. This time around, the actual percentage of travelers dipped slightly to 7%, but incomes for full-timers averaged just over $67,000, with a small sample of part-time mobile clinicians earning $72,500. Virtually three-fifths of previous travelers reported salaries from $65,000 to $124,999, while less than half (46%) of current travelers reported similar income levels. Although not the primary consumers of short-term staff, these settings are anticipated to command greater focus in the near future as the elderly population grows. Only time will tell how staffing shortages and increased demand associated with aging patients will further affect any of these practice settings.
