The 425-bed hospital features the only burn treatment facility in the region, and its AirMed patient transfer service completes over 2,400 missions each year. Specializing in programs for stroke, cancer, cardiology, and fertility, University Health Care is a Level I trauma center. Established in 1872 with just six beds and one physician, St. Mark’s Hospital has continued to evolve to meet the needs of a growing city. Part of the HCA Healthcare Corporation, the 317-bed hospital is a state-of-theart medical facility specializing in diabetes treatment, cardiac care, and oncology. Salt Lake Regional Medical Center was built in 1875 and was the first hospital in Salt Lake Valley.
