For the third annual “Think Pink, Practice Pink” breast cancer awareness program, Henry Schein Inc. has again joined forces with the American Cancer Society. The program aims to raise breast cancer awareness and support a cure for the disease through a selection of “pink” merchandise produced by the company’s participating partner suppliers. The program began Oct. 1 and runs through Dec. 19 with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the “pink” products being donated to the American Cancer Society to fund breast cancer research, prevention and early detection efforts. Funds are also used to help fund support programs for thousands of cancer patients and their families. “Unfortunately, breast cancer touches the lives of a large percentage of our healthcare practitioner customers and their patients, as well as many of our Team Schein Members,” says Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Schein. “We enthusiastically support the important work of the American Cancer Society through our ‘Think Pink, Practice Pink” program, and encourage the participation of our supplier partners and customers in the effort.
