These block huggers are for classic truck applications retro-fitting an LS1 engine that needs a tight-tuck header to avoid clearance issues with frame rails, steering components and for applications that need more ground clearance than offered with long-tube headers. All LS1 block hugger headers feature lightweight 1-5/8-inch mandrel bent primary tubes merging to a 4-inch-long 2.5-inch outlet collector. Durable 3/8-inch-thick machined flanges are utilized at the cylinder head to ensure proper seal for a leak-free installation. The headers are available in a high-heat resistant black paint, show-quality chrome, metallic ceramic coated and polished stainless steel.
