Pharmaceutical Executive Digest Europe - February 25, 2009 - (Page 13) ON THE MOVE Pantec Biosolutions AG, a privatelyowned company developing innovative technologies for transdermal drug delivery, has announced the expansion of its scientific advisory board to include Professor Rox Anderson, Jean-Luc Levy and Professor Robert Strohal. They join the board’s existing members, Dr Yogeshvar N. Kalia and Professor Holger Lubatschowski. Professor Anderson is a professor at Harvard Medical School, an adjunct professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and director of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr Jean-Luc Levy has over 20 years of experience in the field of health technology, specifically for laser application in dermatology and cosmetology. Professor Strohal is Associate Professor and boardcertified dermatologist and Head of the Department of Dermatology and Venerology at the Federal University Teaching Hospital Feldkirch, Austria. Pharminox Limited, a UK-based cancer drug discovery and development company, has appointed Dr Lee Arnold, Professor Adrian Harris and Dr Robert Jackson to its scientific advisory board to provide independent expert advice and guidance on the company’s research and development portfolio. Dr Arnold was formerly vice president of US Research for OSI Pharmaceuticals. Professor Harris is the Cancer Research UK Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Oxford and an internationally renowned medical oncologist. Dr Jackson has held numerous senior R&D positions with biotechnology and pharma companies in a long and distinguished career. European specialty pharmaceutical company Norgine has announced that Dr Adam Love has joined the company as director, Business Development. Dr Love was most recently director, European Business Development at Cephalon, and prior to that he was UK Medical Advisor at Cephalon. DBV Technologies (France), a biopharmaceutical company specialising in the development of non-invasive epicutaneous diagnostics and immunotherapies for allergies, has expanded its board of directors with the appointment of Peter Barton Hutt as non-executive director. Hutt brings extensive knowledge and firsthand experience of US food and drug legislation to DBV.
