Christine, who has more than 15 years of healthcare research consulting experience, joins TNS from Genactis Ltd in London, where she served as managing director. Racepoint Group Europe has announced the appointment of Rachel Cummings as associate director. Rachel will lead and grow the healthcare PR team at Racepoint, building on the existing client portfolio and creating new opportunities in the medical device, medical education, life science and pharma sectors. Rachel joins Racepoint Group from Chandler Chicco Agency, where she spent five years directing the European campaign for Merck Serono’s oncology franchise. Lipoxen plc (UK), a biopharmaceutical company specialising in the development of high value differentiated biologicals, vaccines and oncology drugs, has elevated Dr Peter Laing from director of business development to chief operating officer and appointed of Dr Ajay K. Agrawal as head of Business Development. Dr Laing joined Lipoxen in March 2002 and has played a leading role in developing the company’s R&D and business development operations and in the establishment of collaborative and licensing deals with the some of the world’s top biotech companies. Dr Agrawal has extensive experience in the biotech & pharma industry worldwide. He was a founder of the drug delivery company, polyMASC Pharmaceuticals plc, London in 1995.
