ON THE MOVE Dr Franz-Josef Kappenberg has joined the team at HÄLSA Pharma GmbH (Münster, Germany). Dr Kappenberg will specialise in consultancy on good manufacturing practice (GMP). UCB has announced the appointment of Michele Antonelli, executive vice president Technical Operations & Quality Assurance and Mark McDade, executive vice president Global Operations as new members of the company’s Executive Committee. Mr McDade, who takes over the position from Bill Robinson, has worked in pharma and biotech for 25 years. Ms Antonelli has a degree in Plant Biology from the University of Bari, Italy, and qualified in the ENI’s post graduate programme in Biotechnology and Advanced Genetics (Molecular and Somatic cell Genetics) at the Catholic University of Piacenza and the Iowa State University of Ames, USA. Archimedes Pharma Ltd (UK), a panEuropean specialty pharmaceutical company, has appointed Andrew Morris as UK country manager. Mr Morris joined the company’s UK organisation in April as marketing director, Critical Care, from ProStrakan. He takes over Simon Collins, who is leaving to pursue another career opportunity. Chandler Chicco Agency (CCA, UK) has made several appointments. Cate Scott joins as Merck Serono Franchise Lead, where she will oversee communications for Merck Serono’s oncology products. Ms Scott joins from Wells Healthcare Communications. Other recent hires include Robyn Cabarrao (joining from Tonic Life Communications), Sarah Herrmann (joining from De Facto Communications), Kirsten Hamilton (joining from Lornamead) Duncan Shaw (joining from The Nucleus Group) and Alice Reynolds (joining from UniChem/Alliance Boots) as account handlers.
