If you can pre-marinate meats for grilling and freeze them in advance in zip-lock bags it will save on space in the refrigerator or ice chests. On personal trips I have planned we usually try to grill most of the meals since there is less to clean up and frankly it smells fantastic while you are relaxing on your houseboat! We might do grilled chicken breasts one night but gill enough chicken at once to have fajitas the next night and just reheat or microwave the meat or you can do the same thing with steak or burgers and prepare another dish with the grilled meat the next. It saves on space and economies when planning a houseboat trip for a large group of people. Plus, we are on "vacation" so we look for ways to save time and effort on the trips – on one trip we had all the meals pre-made and used the microwave and oven to reheat the entrees making meals effortless. intimidating part of driving a large boat is navigating it in and out of the marina. We put many captains at ease to know our pilots will drive the houseboat through the marina harbor both on departure and return of the trip.
