Houseboating Adventures - Issue 19 - (Page 33) and fun. The second group is by far the larger group, it starts at 50 years old and goes up in to the 80’s. They are retired or will be retired soon. They will have the time and resources to use the Adventure Craft a good amount of the year. They want to use the Adventure Craft in the bays of Florida in the winter and the lakes of their hometown in the summer. HBA: What trends in houseboating do you see taking place over the next decade? KR: There is starting to be a trend here in Southwest Florida houseboating. The Florida houseboat is becoming smaller. Due to mooring a large 2 or 3 bedroom houseboat here in Florida is so expensive that it really only works for the yachting class of boater. Therefore the working guy, weekend and holiday houseboater had better be able to trailer their houseboat or store it in a rack at the marina. HBA: What has surprised you the most about the houseboating industry? KR: The biggest surprised has been the feeling of family around the Adventure Craft Houseboat. From the internet Yahoo Group answering questions and sharing their personal experiences or when we are out on the Adventure Craft, every boat that goes by, their heads turn and their hands waive in a friendly hello. When we stop at a waterside restaurant or beach, the Adventure Craft becomes the topic of conversation. HBA: Your dealership is located in Naples. Where are the places people like to boat most in your area? KR: There are many, many fantastic boating destinations here in Southwest Florida. One of our favorites is cruising from Naples, past Marco Island to Goodland Island for lunch at Stan’s Idle Hour. There lots of fun at this place. They usually have live entertainment and a great Florida atmosphere. Or maybe a trip to the white sandy beaches of Cape Romano or Keywaden Island for shelling and sun. Here is a great sunset evening trip. Leave from Lovers Key, cruise during sunset to Pine Island Sound then Cabbage Key for dinner. After dinner cruise back to Lovers Key by moonlight. This will is a very special sunset, dinner trip with many memories. There are so many great destinations here in Southwest Florida that’s why we are the boating capital of the USA. HBA: What is the very best thing about houseboating for you? KR: I think the very best thing about houseboating is being able to pack the houseboat and get away from city life for the weekend. We cruise the waterway and just before sunset, we watch everyone else race for the boat ramp. While we hangout casually and watch the sunset, have dinner, play cards or watch movie. It’s just plain relaxing waking up the next day with fish jumping and birds singing. END> The Adventure Craft is equipped with the most efficient appliances, engine and generator available to date, giving you the most bang for your buck in the recreational vessel class. The interior is neat and compact with an open flow through the boat . )6B@" A05("%C&5AB9&@
