Houseboating Adventures - Issue 19 - (Page 47) "Fish Lips" is the casual dining outdoor restaurant located on the dock specializing in fish, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The lodge at the park is just a short shuttle bus ride up the hill with weekend buffets and spectacular views of the lake. There are several restaurants located around the lake just a short boat ride away. Everything is here! Remember, State Dock is located in a dry county so bring any adult beverages you desire. A pontoon, ski boat or Jet Ski will make your stay more enjoyable. If you don’t own your own boat, State Dock has rentals available. Lake Cumberland is so large that you will not have a chance to experience all of it. With over 1,200 miles of shoreline there is a lot to see. Typically the house- boat provides a home base as vacationers spend time on smaller boats skiing, fishing or just pleasure riding. At the end of the day, just pull along side and relax. No pulling the boat out and going back to a motel. The fun never stops. You can choose from a 3-night weekend or a 4-night midweek vacation. Cost per person compares favorably to any resort location. The premium season generally follows the summer school calendar but some of the best times are fall and spring where you can get significant cost savings. Contact State Dock to plan a vacation that you will never forget. Memories of great times with family and friends are investments that last a lifetime. END> Lake Cumberland is a place for summer fun. especially at one of the lake’s “party coves”. State Dock also features a huge 4th of July celebration and many other events during summer including their annual Powerboat Poker Run Race. )6B@" A05("%C&5AB9&@
