But, if you’re like most people, you have to dig through stacks of junk mail, magazines and bills to even find your credit union statement. Eliminate the clutter by signing up for e-Statements. It’s quick and easy to do, and will save time, paper and help preserve the environment. Shred It! What is an e-Statement? An e-Statement is just like a traditional financial statement you receive in the mail, except you access it securely online and receive monthly e-mail notification when it is ready. You can view it at your convenience or store it electronically. with no “snail mail” delay. It saves paper and allows you to store each statement electronically on your computer, instead of having to file a hard copy. How do I sign up for e-Statements? Simply visit www.amerfirst.org and log on to Home Banking. Click on the e-Statements tab and follow the prompts. Once you’ve completed the form and accepted the terms of the agreement, you have immediate access to the past seven years of statements. What are the benefits of e-Statements? Electronic statements are convenient, timely and environmentally friendly. With e-Statements you can view your account information as soon as the statement is generated, This past summer, American First hosted two special “Shred Day” events at our La Habra and Orange branch locations. Those who participated brought in old financial statements and sensitive personal documents and had the opportunity to see their items loaded and shredded into a giant mobile shredding machine.
