Nick Stavropoulos, formerly eVP and cOO for national Grid’s gas distribution business, has joined PG&e as eVP, gas operations, overseeing the utility’s entire natural gas business. in other news, PG&e has appointed karen austin sVP and chief information officer. siemens corp. has appointed Judith “Judy” marks head of a newly formed U.s. business unit designed to provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to the federal government from across its energy, industry, Healthcare and the future infrastructure & cities sectors. richard c. kelly has announced his intention to retire as chairman and ceO of Xcel energy effective Aug. 24, 2011, after 43 years with the company. Xcel energy’s board of directors has elected Benjamin G.S. Fowke III, currently president and cOO, to succeed Kelly as chairman and ceO, effective upon Kelly’s retirement.
