Hildestad that he intends to retire in January —after 38 years with the company—has fueled a number of changes in command at the Bismarck, N.D.-based company. Taking Hildestad’s place will be David L. Goodin, a 29-year company veteran and currently president and CEO of four of MDU Resources utility businesses: Montana-Dakota Utilities Co, Great Plains Natural Gas Co, Cascade Natural Gas Corp., and Intermountain Gas Co. K. Frank Morehouse will succeed Goodin. Morehouse, who has 35 years of experience in the energy industry—12 of them with MDU—is currently executive VP and general manager of Intermountain Gas and Cascade Natural Gas. Taking Morehouse’s place will be Scott Madison, who has been with the company since 1997. Also moving up at MDU is J. Kent Wells, who will become the company’s vice chairman. Prior to joining MDU’s Fidelity Exploration & Production Co. in March 2011, Wells was BP’s group senior VP for global deepwater response.
