buyer's guide PREVIEW: mapping and gis * Responsible for the supervision and administration of gas planning programs and initiatives to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of PG&E's gas system. * Oversees the transmission and distribution planning processes and procedures for gas system planning and ensures the accomplishment of goals and objectives. * Manages the development of gas demand data, analysis, and reporting. * Reviews and signs off on the technical engineering aspects of hydraulic analyses to ensure sound engineering practices and judgment are employed. * Leads and reviews the recommendations from studies, models, reports, trends, and impacts from gas planning and other Gas Operations departments. * Develops regulatory strategies to address and resolve gas operations issues. * Approves resolutions and recommendations to system balancing and accounting issues that includes shrinkage, customer imbalances, storage, and Operational Flow Orders (OFOs) to customers. * Approves resolutions and recommendations to therm billing and gas quality issues, applications, procedures, and processes. Supervises and monitors the training and development programs for gas system planning personnel. * Acts as a primary lead within cross functional projects and teams to develop, implement, and monitor gas system planning programs and initiatives.
