As of midOctober, about a month after the rollout, 883 of their customers were receiving Chinese-language statements (see above), and 2,380 were receiving Spanish-language statements, PG&E spokeswoman Fiona Chan told American Gas. PG&E also launched Chinese- and Spanish-language websites and now issues weekly Twitter posts in Chinese and a weekly Facebook message in Spanish. All versions of the new statement- whether in English, Spanish, Chinese, Braille, or large print-include charts with daily energy usage and trends. Information such as total amount due, due date, account number, and contact information is easier to find.
