Quality management succeeds through a partnership between the Contractor and the Government. The contractor is responsible for the daily quality of the work, while the Government Quality Assurance helps ensure that the contractor’s quality control program is effective. Scheduled goals are achieved through proactive contractor leadership that “builds it right the first time” avoiding costly reworks. Effective quality control supports worker pride, results in favorable recognition, and has the potential to increase the profit margin for contractors.
