The bike I will be adding artwork too was designed along the lines of a Billy Lane chopper. The sheet metal was done in the shape of an ace of spades and I will follow this style through out the project. All the sheet metal has been base coated and cleared and is ready to have the graphics and artwork added. For the ornate graphics you see pictured I use transfer tape to lay the design out after which I simply cut the design out and apply my colors. To render the dice I print my reference picture off to the correct size and position it on the transfer tape I’ll be using as masking holding it in place with small magnets. After transferring the design onto the masking its just a matter of carefully cutting the dice out of the masking taking care not to cut down into the base paint, clear coat. With the dice cut out I apply base white followed by red. To render the dots on the dice I cut the dots out of the original reference picture placing it on top of the design and apply color. Using the same reference picture I cut out the sides of the dice and spray along the edge to add a drop shadow to give the dice its shape. This type of detail work is best done with a reduced color and at very low air pressure.
