Airbrush Technique Issue 22 - (Page 5) Step 6) Continue to fill in the buildings; fade the color as you move down the building. Leave one corner of the building lighter as pictured above. Make some of the buildings lean that’s also the Urban way.Use some deep blue to give the clouds some bottom and depth. Step 7) The smog between the buildings can be detailed with opaque white. Finish the lighted windows in the buildings by using opaque white, drawing squares and lines to represent this. Step 8) Use gray for the ground that will become concrete, add in opaque white for the shoestrings, the soles of the shoes, rims and bumpers. Step 9) To out line the bottom of the shoes and car, tires we’ll use opaque black. Now shade down from the black outline to create a shadow on the concrete. Finally add some cracks in the concrete using black with white highlights running along the cracks. Step11) Return to using the deep blue once again and add some shadow areas to the shirt, shoes, etc. Step 10) Moving back up to our main character use opaque white and fill in the shirt, front of teeth and eyes.
